DownEast Maine is a birder’s paradise – a pristine environment for bird migration. Bald Eagles are a common sight along the coast and tours to see the Atlantic Puffin are a “must see” during any vacation to the area.
Maine hosts several birding events throughout the year including the Wings, Waves and Woods festival, the Downeast Spring Bird Festival, Acadia Birding Festival and the Acadia National Park’s “Hawk Watch”. Also be sure to check out the Maine Birding Trail.
